The exception proves the rule. After all, cucumbers taste of nothing. Haha! Far from it. This Asian-Russian type, named after the legendary Russian hero Svyatogor (Swüatogar) is a stunner. Fresh, juicy, crunchy like a cucumber essence. The Asian types, especially the Asian-Russian types, have always been bred for taste. You can tell right from the first bite. In a salad, in between snacks, of course in a salad - or let this sublime cucumberiness swim in your gin. Fabulous!
