About the Producer: 

A brief overview of almost 200 years of history
1832 - It all began with the Viennese wine merchant and confectioner Johann Zauner, who was brought to Ischl by Imperial and Royal personal physician Dr. Wirer to run a confectionery here. 1832 then marked the birth of the main house in Pfarrgasse.
1905 - Josef Nickerl , former pastry chef at the famous Karlsbad „Hotel Pupp“, refined a recipe he brought with him for his debut: The Ischler Oblaten were created. In 1905, the famous Zaunerstollen was to develop from this.
1958 - Globetrotter and Baden master confectioner Richard Kurth , who married adopted daughter Rosina Zauner in 1947, won a gold medal for the well-known „Ischler Törtchen“ at the 1958 World Exhibition in Brussels.
1980 - Numerous international gold medals and several books as well as television appearances testify to the creativity of Josef Zauner , and in 1980, Konditorei Zauner was granted the right to bear the Austrian Coat of Arms .
