About the producer: 

A brief overview of almost 200 years of history
1832 - It all began with the Viennese wine merchant and confectioner Johann Zauner, who was brought to Ischl by Imperial and Royal personal physician Dr. Wirer to run a confectionery here. 1832 then marked the birth of the main house in Pfarrgasse.
1905 - Josef Nickerl , former pastry chef at the famous Karlsbader „Hotel Pupp“, refined a brought-along recipe for his debut: The Ischler Oblaten were created. In 1905, the famous Zaunerstollen was to develop from this.
1958 - Globetrotter and Baden Master Confectioner Richard Kurth , who married adopted daughter Rosina Zauner in 1947, was able to win a gold medal at the 1958 World Exhibition in Brussels for the well-known „Ischler Törtchen“.
1980 - Numerous international gold medals and several books as well as television appearances testify to the creativity of Josef Zauners and in 1980, Konditorei Zauner was granted the right to bear the Austrian Coat of Arms.
