Violife Cheddar flavour slices are great to enjoy cold on bread or on their own, or even melted in a vegan veggie burger.

RECIPE IDEA FOR A VEGAN BBQ BURGER (4 burgers)

● 2 packs Violife Cheddar Flavour Slices (8 slices) ● 4 burger buns ● 3 large potatoes ● 2 grated carrots
● 1 leek, sliced ● 1 onion, chopped ● 1 clove of garlic, chopped ● 4 lettuce leaves ● 2 tomatoes, sliced ● Fresh basil and thyme, chopped ● Vegan barbecue sauce ● Olive oil ● Salt and pepper

Preparation:

Wash, peel and quarter the potatoes and cook them in a saucepan with water until they are soft. Leave to cool slightly and then mash with a fork in a bowl. In a pan with a little olive oil, sauté the leeks, carrots, onions and garlic until soft.

Remove the pan from the heat, add the basil and thyme and mix with the other ingredients. Add the sautéed vegetable mixture with a little olive oil, salt and pepper to the mashed potatoes and mix all the ingredients by hand until you have a dough-like mixture. Shape the mixture into 4 loaves and fry in a pan with a little olive oil.

Then assemble the burgers: Spread the barbecue sauce on both burger bun halves. Take the bottom half and place a lettuce leaf, the loaf, 2 slices of Violife Cheddar flavour, 2 tomato slices and the top half of the bun on top.
