About the producer:
In January 1891, the company founder Dr. August Oetker fulfilled a lifelong dream by acquiring the Aschoff pharmacy in Bielefeld. With Backin, a ready-to-use baking powder, Dr. August Oetker laid the foundation for their product history in 1893. Gradually, a comprehensive range of products was created, which also stands for innovation, enjoyment, and reliability internationally. These include powder products, baking ingredients, and flavors. In 1970, Dr. Oetker was the first company to introduce frozen pizza in Germany. Since the 1980s, frozen pizza has also been offered internationally. More than 130 years later, the small pharmacy has become a global family business.
