Broccoli, also known as sprouting broccoli, is a vegetable related to cauliflower from the cabbage family.
Broccoli is low in calories, but has a high content of minerals such as potassium and calcium, as well as trace elements such as manganese, copper and iron. It also contains various vitamins: it has a high content of vitamin A precursors, vitamin C, B vitamins and vitamin K.
