Baby Pineapple Ripe

The baby pineapple (also called mini pineapple or dwarf pineapple) is a decorative and tasty miniature version of the pineapple. It is only about 10 cm tall.

But the flesh is particularly juicy and very sweet.

Use

Due to its aromatic flavour, it is recommended that the sweet flesh of the baby pineapple is eaten raw and not made into a dessert. To do this, cut the baby pineapple open from below through the crown and divide these halves again. The small, soft stalk of the resulting quarters can even be eaten without any problems. The baby pineapple can also be used very well for decorative purposes.

Storage

The baby pineapple can only be stored at room temperature for a few days. If it is stored in the refrigerator, it quickly loses its flavour.
