Application
WHAT IS EASYANGIN AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
easyangin is a spray for local application in the oral and pharyngeal cavity.
easyangin contains the germicide (antiseptic) chlorhexidine and the locally acting pain-relieving anesthetic lidocaine.
easyangin is used for the supportive, short-term local treatment of mild to moderate inflammation of the throat and oral cavity (sore throat, pharyngeal catarrh, hoarseness, inflammation of the oral and pharyngeal cavity [pharyngitis] and gums [gingivitis, stomatitis and aphthae]).
If you do not feel better or even worse after 3 days, contact a doctor.
How is it used?

What should you consider before taking it?
WHAT SHOULD YOU CONSIDER BEFORE USING EASYANGIN?
easyangin must NOT be used,
- if you are allergic to chlorhexidine or lidocaine (or a similar anesthetic) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6
- in the case of larger, fresh wounds in the oral and pharyngeal cavity
- by children under 6 years of age
- if you suffer from bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases that are associated with a pronounced hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract. Inhalation of easyangin can lead to shortness of breath or trigger an asthma attack.
Please talk to your pharmacist before using easyangin.
If the symptoms persist or the treatment does not show the expected success, a medical consultation is required as soon as possible, at the latest after 3 days.
In the case of severe or purulent sore throats or sore throats that are accompanied by high fever, headaches, nausea or vomiting, consult a doctor.
easyangin should not be used in the case of damage to the mucous membrane due to possible impaired wound healing.
Local anesthetics can impair swallowing and increase the risk of swallowing, especially in younger children. Do not eat or drink immediately after using the spray.
The numbness of the tongue and oral mucosa can increase the risk of bite injuries.
Repeated use can lead to a feeling of numbness in the throat and thus to
difficulty swallowing.
Avoid contact with eyes and ears. If the spray gets into your eyes, rinse them immediately with plenty of water.
In the case of purulent or more severe bacterial infections, especially if Streptococcus pyogenes infection is suspected, simultaneous treatment with antibiotics is required.
easyangin contains 41.6% alcohol by volume.
Use of easyangin with other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking / using, have recently taken / used or intend to take / use any other medicines.
Beta-blockers (agents for high blood pressure and certain heart conditions) and cimetidine (certain agents for stomach and duodenal ulcers) can increase the side effects of high doses of lidocaine.
Do not use at the same time as other germicides (antiseptics), as the effect of each other is weakened.
Use of easyangin with food, drinks and alcohol Eating or drinking should be avoided immediately after using the spray to reduce the risk of swallowing.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Since there is insufficient data, use during pregnancy and breast-feeding is not recommended.
Driving and using machines
No impairments of the ability to drive and use machines have been reported with easyangin.
How should the medicine be taken?
HOW TO USE EASYANGIN?
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Method of administration:
For use in the oral and pharyngeal cavity.
The recommended dosage is:
Adults (18 years and older):
3 to 5 sprays 6 to 10 times a day.
A maximum daily dose of 50 sprays must not be exceeded.
Children from 6 years of age and adolescents (12-18 years):
2 to 3 sprays 3 to 5 times a day.
A maximum daily dose of 25 sprays must not be exceeded.
This medicine must not be used for more than 3 days. If the symptoms do not improve within 3 days, a doctor must be consulted.
If you have used more easyangin than you should
If used correctly, the risks of an overdose are very low.
If very large amounts are used, restlessness, ringing in the ears, difficulty breathing, irregular heartbeat, and reduced control of the swallowing reflex are possible.

Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton or spray bottle after
“Usable until” or “Use by”. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
Shelf life after opening 3 months, after which the medicine should no longer be used.
Do not dispose of the medicine in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. You help to protect the environment.

CONTENTS OF THE PACK AND FURTHER INFORMATION
What easyangin contains?
The active ingredients are: chlorhexidine gluconate and lidocaine hydrochloride.
1 ml solution contains 2 mg chlorhexidine gluconate and 0.5 mg lidocaine hydrochloride.
1 spray contains 0.17 mg chlorhexidine gluconate and 0.04 mg lidocaine hydrochloride.
The other ingredients are: ethanol, glycerol, menthol, cineole, saccharin sodium, citric acid monohydrate, purified water.
