Warnings and precautions

The use of this medicine, especially in the long term, can lead to sensitization. In this case or if one of the side effects listed occurs, the medicine should be temporarily discontinued and the attending physician should be contacted.

Tantum Verde – Mouth Spray should be used with caution if you have a history of bronchial asthma, as bronchospasms may occur.

Tantum Verde - Mouth Spray is for use in the oral and pharyngeal cavity.

Instructions for use:


1. Lift the pump nozzle.


2. Insert the pump nozzle into the mouth opening and direct the spray onto the inflamed area. Press the spray head with your index finger.


Before using Tantum Verde - Mouth Spray for the first time, pump until a uniform spray mist is ensured.

Dosage:


Tantum Verde - Mouth Spray is generally used 2 - 6 times a day (every 1 ½ -3 hours): 4 - 8 sprays each for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age
4 sprays for children between 6 and 12 years of age
for children under 6 years of age 1 spray per 4 kg body weight, maximum 4 sprays.
Unless otherwise prescribed by the dentist or doctor, the dosage recommendation also applies to elderly patients.

Accidental swallowing of small amounts is harmless.

In case of improper use (i.e. if Tantum Verde - Mouth Spray is swallowed in larger
quantities), side effects such as vomiting, abdominal pain, sleep disorders, restlessness, anxiety, cramps, ataxia, fever, tachycardia and possibly respiratory paralysis may occur.
In the event of poisoning, symptomatic therapy is recommended (e.g. respiratory assistance, removal of poison by gastric lavage, etc.)

What Tantum Verde -Mouth Spray contains


- The active ingredient is: Benzydamine hydrochloride. 1 ml contains 1.5 mg benzydamine hydrochloride.
- The other ingredients are: Saccharin, methyl-4-hydroxybenzoate (preservative), glycerol, sodium hydrogen carbonate, ethanol 96% (alcohol), peppermint flavour, polysorbate 20, purified water.

Each spray corresponds to 0.17 ml of solution.
