Craftsmanship, terroir and precision form the foundation of Domäne Wachau under the management of Roman Horvath MW and Heinz Frischengruber. In close cooperation with their Wachau winegrowers, respect for nature and soil dominates the strenuous work on the steep slopes.
With over 150 hectares of organic vineyards, Domäne Wachau is the most important winery in Austria with organically farmed vineyards. Small-structured and largely cultivated by hand, the winegrowers cultivate an average of less than two hectares - with full focus on each individual vine. The wines from large vineyards such as Achleiten, Brandstatt and Kellerberg reflect their unique origin and stand for an unmistakable puristic style with depth and drinkability.
