The grapes for the Dürnsteiner Riesling Smaragd Freiheit grow in the Ried Klostersatz in Dürnstein on fertile alluvial soils of the Danube. The grapes are selectively harvested at the end of October and gently vinified. After the fermentation is complete, the wine is stored on the fine lees in large wooden barrels.
Intensive Riesling Schmelz with a pronounced peach aroma and fine notes of ripe honey are characteristic of this wine.
