The history of the Rupp cheese brand is a family history. It begins over a hundred years ago with the desire to learn.
In 1898, thirteen-year-old Josef Rupp began his apprenticeship as a cheesemaker and dairyman. Not unusual for the son of a farmer and cheese merchant. The second generation of the Rupp private cheese dairy achieved market success in 1950 with the processed cheese "Enzian". In the 1980s, the third generation inscribed the Rupp brand into the collective Austrian brand memory - as "the best corner of cheese". In 2020, the fourth generation took over.
