All animals are kept in a very species-appropriate manner on selected Austrian farms. Ongoing external and internal controls.

The male chickens are raised through a "brother rooster rearing" project.

In free-range and organic farming, the animals have a sufficiently large outdoor area with sand baths and covered shelters.

In organic laying hen farming, all male day-old chicks have been raised since Dec. 2015. For this purpose, we have switched the entire production to the "Sandy" laying hen breed. This breed lays beige organic eggs; the roosters are raised for 9-10 weeks and slaughtered in the company's own slaughterhouse.

Thus, with their decision made in 2014 not to kill male organic chicks but to raise them,
they are pioneers not only in Austria but in Europe for this issue. Also unique throughout Europe,
especially in terms of animal husbandry and animal welfare, is their organic duck production compared to other producers.

Their aim is to produce healthy food of the highest quality through healthy animal husbandry.
