With regard to the main components, the content of sodium, hydrogen carbonate, potassium, sulphate and chloride ions, the mineral composition is modelled on the mineral composition of the nasal secretion.

Application
Nasal rinsing solutions should be isotonic, i.e. adapted to the mineral content of the blood. For acute or chronic inflammatory conditions of the nose, we recommend Emser salt in practical sachets of 2.95 g for 250 ml and for children 1.475 g for 125 ml.
