Vanilla Crescents

Ingredients
250 g flour
210 g butter
100 g almonds, ground
80 g sugar
2 packs vanilla sugar
1 pack powdered sugar, for coating
2 packs vanilla sugar, for coating
Knead the ingredients for the dough well together. Then wrap in cling film and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. In the meantime, sift the powdered sugar into a large bowl and mix with two packets of vanilla sugar.
Shape the Kipferl dough into rolls with an approximate diameter of 4 cm. Then tear into pieces about 1 - 2 cm and form Kipferl from them. Place the Kipferl on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, not too close together. Bake at about 175 degrees with convection for about 10-15 minutes. When the Kipferl begin to brown, they are just right.
Let the Kipferl cool for about 3 minutes. Then place them in the prepared powdered sugar mixture and turn them on all sides. But be careful: if they are still too warm, they break very easily; however, if they are too cold, the powdered sugar does not stick well. It's best to keep trying to see if they are firm enough.
