This is a cooked ham made from medium-heavy Italian pork with a bone weight of approx. 11 kg. In the finest version with bone, it is lightly smoked and sold to the public hot and hand-cut as in the regions of origin.
The recipe for Prague ham is now being revived and reinterpreted, using only the best meat and fresh ingredients to achieve an incomparable result.
The taste of this very special product is characterized by a skilful balance of flavors. Fresh herbs and fresh vegetables leave room for a slightly smoky aftertaste. The addition of the "Thirteenth Spring", the typical liqueur of the Czech Republic, gives Villani's Prague ham a special character and an unmistakable taste.
