Villani Prosciutto Crudo Gran Reserv 24 Months Matured Sliced
It all starts with the fine raw material: a fine Italian pork leg, with hoof in the Friulian tradition.
The experienced hands of our salters sprinkle white sea salt on the pointed legs. They then rest for 4 months in the dark cellars.
The last essential ingredient in their production: the wonderful air of San Daniele. To receive the caresses of the winds from the Alps and the sea.
Here the legs mature for at least 13 more months in order to receive the Consortium marking.
The very finest of our hams rest even longer: they are caressed by the wind for up to 24 months. The cyclical change
of the seasons intensifies their taste and aromas, just as it did thousands of years ago.
