Use
Pumpkin seed oil is best used as a dressing for salads and pasta. However, pumpkin seed oil can be used throughout the kitchen, and it has even caused a stir as a special ingredient in cakes.
Storage conditions
Store in a cool, dry place. The advantage of the tin: the pumpkin seed oil is stored in the dark, so it does not have to be kept in the dark in the home.
Cultivation
Our oil pumpkin is cultivated in the Tulln district, and the dried seeds are taken to Styria for pumpkin seed oil production. The pumpkin seed oil is produced in a small oil mill where quality is the top priority.

Production
Once the pumpkin seeds have dried, they are ground in the oil mill and then mixed with water and salt. Now it's time for roasting: the pumpkin seeds develop their full aroma in large, open roasting pans. The oil is then extracted using the traditional stamp press method. The slower the processing, the better the quality of the oil.

About the producer
Our farm is located in the Tullnerfeld region of Lower Austria. We love the varied work with and in nature, the fields and meadows around the farm and life on the outskirts of the city.

Since our working methods involve great care for nature and careful handling of the soil, we also try to pass these aspects on to our customers by providing background knowledge and working techniques in modern agriculture.
We at Gschaiderhof are young farm managers and are always on the lookout for interesting crops.
That's how we came to grow oil pumpkins.
The oil pumpkin is something special for us, as it fits well into the crop rotation, is a good preceding crop for other field crops and has a high nutritional value.
In addition to oil pumpkins, we also produce garlic, fruit vegetables, wheat, corn, soya and sugar beets.
