Radishes are round, but can also be oval, cylindrical or turnip-like and semi-long. The color varies from white to pink, red and violet to two-tone white-red striped or half-white/half-red; inside, radishes are always white.
Storage recommendation
Radishes stay fresh best when wrapped in a damp tea towel and stored in the vegetable compartment of the refrigerator. The greens and root strands should be removed beforehand, as they unnecessarily draw moisture from the vegetable.
