BIO Apple Topaz

The fruit of the Topaz apple is medium-sized, flat and medium to stalk-bellied. The outer colour of the skin is mostly dark red mottled and striped. As the fruit ripens, the skin becomes greasy and the initially firm yellow and juicy flesh becomes medium-firm and sweeter. The taste of the Topaz apple is very aromatic and finely acidic with a well-balanced sugar-acid ratio. The stem of the fruit is short to medium long, a typical characteristic of the variety are so-called flesh pearls" in the calyx cavity, i.e. small, round growths of the flesh. The Topaz apple is perfect for direct consumption, but it can also be processed and preserved in any form.
