Origin

The original home of the apple is between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. Over thousands of years it has spread to all parts of the world. The apple is the favorite fruit of the Germans. 20 kg are consumed per capita per year. About half of this comes from domestic production and half from imports.

Tips

The nutrient combination of the apple is ideal as a snack or after sports, during school breaks or on the go. On the one hand, apples are thirst-quenching because of their water and acid content, on the other hand they contain quickly usable carbohydrates.

Preparation

The apple is the main type of fruit for fresh consumption.
