Sulgan99® works with the natural help of witch hazel bark, also known as witch hazel. Sulgan 99® is used for the external treatment of haemorrhoids, anal eczema, intestinal tears, infections, inflammation and itching in the region of the rectal outlet. It has an astringent effect that shrinks haemorrhoids. This reduces pain, burning and itching.
In keeping with its tradition, Klosterfrau offers Sulgan 99®, a well-tolerated, plant-based product. Its main active ingredient, witch hazel bark water, is extracted from the witch hazel, which originally comes from the deciduous forests of Atlantic North America.
The deciduous shrub was imported to England in the 18th century and has since also flowered in Central Europe in autumn, long after the leaves have fallen. In addition to the astringent effect, the ingredients of Sulgan99® have a haemostatic, anti-inflammatory and anti-itching effect. In addition, Sulgan 99® forms a protective film on the damaged anal region and thus supports the wound healing of the skin and mucous membrane.
