Birkenstock Farmer's Quail with Paprika

The sour milk curd is mixed with ingredients, moulded, ripened, cooled and packed in plastic packaging.

It is best to take the cheese out of the fridge before eating it so that it can develop its aroma. The optimal temperature for consumption is 20°C, as the aroma can develop best at this temperature. The best way to ripen the cheese is to take it out of the packaging, put it in a cheese cover (plastic box or sealable stone pot) and leave it at around 15°C - 18°C until it is fully ripe.

The Heinrich Birkenstock cheese dairy has been located in Hüttenberg (Hesse) since 1959. Sour milk cheese is produced at this location, as well as the accompanying music (vinegar-oil marinade).
