On the nose, a scent of fresh citrus fruits, pears and apples, accompanied by woody tones and some spicy malt. A gentle, breathy attack on the palate, becoming crisper, with black pepper, blooming summer flowers, tropical fruits, caramel toffee and bourbon vanilla. The finish is a medium length, oak flavoured finish

The location between the hills and the numerous springs offered an ideal hiding place from customs officials and soldiers.
