Polz Brut Rose

Brut Rosé - Styrian sparkling wine cuvée made from Pinot Noir and Zweigelt. 12% Vol.

Processed according to the Méthode Traditionelle: Two and a half years of maturation in the bottle on the fine lees.

Fresh, fruity aroma on the nose, followed by a creamy body with an invigorating acid structure; a very fine mousseux develops on the finish; full-bodied rosé sparkling wine with a lively acidity.

112 years ago, our great-grandfather Johann Polz laid the foundation for the winery on Grassnitzberg, Rilke wrote his Duino Elegies and the RMS Titanic sank in the North Atlantic.

Today, we are working in the 4th generation to bring our idea of excellence to the glass. With our hands, with our soils, with nature. Erich Polz jun. has been managing the business since spring 2020 with the aim of guiding all the fabulous potential and valuable knowledge that lies in the long history of our family into a good future. A future for many more generations on the farm.

Erich's brother Christoph is responsible for the cellar and vinification. Empathetic, calm, with great confidence in every grape. This is because every single fruit at the Polz winery is hand-picked and embarks on the venerable path of its joyful destiny. It is irrelevant whether it is about lively, animating regional wines or the greatest possible growths of our sphere of activity that have matured to perfection. Our passion is manual labour. And our craft grows directly from our origin in southern Styria.

For many years now, and even more intensively in the future, we have been paying essential attention to the sustainability of our work. Be it the gentle pruning of vines, which has now been practised for over a decade, the complete renunciation of insecticides or the careful conversion of all our vineyards to organic-biological cultivation, which is currently being implemented.
