The Bornibus Béarnaise sauce is based on the classic Dutch sauce. However, this variant is enriched with shallots, parsley, tarragon and pepper, all combined with a gentle reduction of wine vinegar and wine.
Alexandre Bornibus took over the mustard factory in the Halles district of Paris in 1860, and a few years later Alexandre was largely known as the "King of Mustard" in France.
Today, the brand continues to exist with its proven, traditional recipes and designs and is even considered a cultural heritage of France!
