Organic popcorn corn from the Weinviertel region
Our organic popcorn corn grows in the mild climate of the countryside around Laa and is slowly dried after harvesting so that it will really "pop" later on – because only when the kernels contain little moisture will they burst open in the pot.
Preparation
Popcorn corn is the welcome alternative to microwave popcorn. You can prepare the organic popcorn corn in a saucepan or in a popcorn maker and refine it with sweet, salty or spicy flavours, depending on your taste. To prepare it in a saucepan, simply add a few drops of oil to a saucepan, turn up the heat to high, cover the bottom of the saucepan with popcorn corn, turn down the heat to medium, put on the lid and wait until it "pops". After about 2 minutes, all the kernels should have burst open. Now add some butter and salt or spices and nothing will stand in the way of a nice movie night with home-made snacks.

KRAFTLADEN – the organic farm in the north of the Weinviertel region
Young farmer Florian Forster has been running his parents' farm together with his partner Marina Kraft since 2017 according to the criteria of organic farming. The climate in the Laa plain is ideal for growing old varieties of onions and vegetables. Low rainfall and a mild climate ensure a uniquely intense flavour.
In addition to yellow and red onions, shallots, garlic, potatoes, pumpkins, courgettes and beetroot also grow in the fields in the Weinviertel region. Together with the cultivation of cereals, fodder maize, oil pumpkins and lucerne, vegetable cultivation results in optimum field management.
The vegetables are sorted, processed and packaged by hand. In recent years, there has been an increasing focus on direct marketing and farm shops have been opened in the countryside around Laa, where fresh vegetables and delicacies in jars are available in self-service.
