Steinhorn Gin

London Dry Gin 44% Vol. Alk.

The Premium Gin contains juniper, coriander, elderberries and many other botanicals, its characteristic taste is given by liquorice, lemon balm and rosemary. Many of the ingredients come from the company's own garden and from the Wagram region. Not all ingredients may be revealed, because every unicorn has a mysterious aura. In addition to grace and purity through the loving implementation of the recipe, the gin is given strength and power by 44 percent alcohol.

Tasting note:
Consistently strong juniper character, citrus notes in the nose, balanced taste of a classic London Dry Gin, herbaceous in the finish. Pleasant mildness at 44 percent alcohol by volume.

About the Steiner Bros.:

Gin distilling is probably in the blood of the Steiner brothers, as they come from a dynasty of alcohol producers. Their great-great-grandparents, impoverished landed gentry from Silesia, travelled the country as itinerant traders. They settled in the Wagram region of Lower Austria in the 1880s and bought a farm with vineyards and fruit trees, where they became enthusiastic distillers.

After many generations involved in wine and schnapps production, the current generation earns its money with digitalisation and mechatronics. However, the Steiner brothers have remained true to alcohol production with passion. "When you work on large digitalisation projects, you long for a creative balance. And when the product of this craft is also as successful as our Steinhorn Gin in such a short time, it is not additional work stress, but very meaningful," says Johannes Steiner, the older of the brothers and responsible for marketing and sales.

Martin Steiner, responsible for production and quality at Steiner Bros., is also pleased about the successful side project: "We have been working on gin since the beginning of 2017 and set out to produce the best Austrian London Dry Gin. But we would never have dreamed that we would achieve this goal in less than a year and be confirmed by the renowned trade magazine Falstaff.
