The "Champagne purveyor to the English Royal Court" was nothing glamorous when it was founded in 1849. At that time, 18-year-old Pol Roger entered the champagne production without having his own vines and wine cellar. To this day, the bottles are riddled by hand, deep below the ground in traditional vaulted cellars.
Bright golden yellow with a green shimmer. Rich bouquet of acacia honey, ripe quinces and yellow plums, behind it warm baguette, white almonds and red clover blossoms. Medium mousse, smooth palate flow with soft extract and captivating lime blossom honey, nectarine and chamomile as well as subtle nutmeg and cinnamon pastry sweetness, noble and full of finesse into the elegant finish.
