Ingredients
- 500 g wheat flour Type 700
- 42 g fresh yeast
- 250 ml milk
- 80 g sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 egg
- 80 g butter
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 pkg. vanilla sugar
Method
- 1Warm the milk lukewarm and dissolve the yeast in it.
- 2Place flour, sugar, salt, egg, soft butter, lemon zest, and vanilla sugar into a bowl.
- 3Add the milk-yeast mixture and knead everything into a smooth dough (approx. 5-10 minutes).
- 4Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for approx. 45-60 minutes until it has doubled in volume.
- 5Divide the dough into equal pieces and shape them into round Pinzen. Place on a baking sheet and let rise for another 15 minutes.
- 6Brush the Pinzen with beaten egg and make three deep cuts with scissors.
- 7Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for approx. 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
