This beer has a cloudy golden colour. The aroma is dominated by spicy, sweet and fruity notes, which harmonise excellently. The taste is malty and very long-lasting bitter.
In the late 1970s, it was the idea of two stepbrothers, Pierre Gobron and Chris Bauweraerts, to start a brewery. With little money, they realised their "Chouffe Story" in 1982 and brewed the first litres of beer. The hobby eventually turned into a full-time job and the first export went to the Netherlands, later to 40 other countries worldwide. Many international awards followed and the two decided to cooperate with Duvel - Moortgat in 2006 to realise the brewery's potential.
