Description
OMNi-BiOTiC® FiBRE Apfelpektin may be of interest if you wish to specifically supplement your diet with soluble dietary fibre and prefer the convenience of capsules. With sufficient liquid, the contained apple pectin expands in volume and provides dietary fibre that can be utilised by gut bacteria.
Per daily serving of 6 capsules, the product contains 3.90 g of apple pectin. The formulation consists of apple pectin and a plant-based capsule shell made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. According to the manufacturer, the capsules are vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, and yeast-free.
If you want to specifically combine the dietary fibre with a probiotic, the manufacturer suggests pairing it with OMNi-BiOTiC® metabolic. However, that is a separate product choice and not included in this supplement.
Directions for use
Adults take 3 capsules twice daily before meals with plenty of liquid.
For a gradual start, the manufacturer recommends initially taking 1 capsule 3 times a day. Every 3 days, this can be increased to 4, then to 5, and after another 3 days to the recommended daily amount of 3 capsules twice daily.
Do not take the capsules without sufficient liquid, as the apple pectin swells after ingestion.
