Description
For injuries of all kinds, whether cuts, abrasions, minor burns, exuding wounds, or after surgery.
Application
1. Clean the wound according to clinical practice. 2. Dry the surrounding skin carefully. The use of moisturising creams, gels or ointments on the surrounding skin may impair adhesion and should be avoided. 3. Remove the protective films and apply the adhesive side to the skin without stretching the dressing. Ensure that the absorbent pad covers the wound. 4. Gently press on the edge to ensure proper adhesion to the skin.
To remove, grasp the edge of the dressing and slowly peel it off the skin in the direction of hair growth.
Care should be taken to ensure Mepore is not applied under tension to avoid shear forces that could lead to skin damage. When applying over joints, make sure the flexibility of the joint is not impaired. Excessive swelling may occur after certain surgical procedures. In this case, it may be better to use a more flexible dressing to minimize skin tension.
Mepore should be changed before it is fully saturated, if there are signs of leakage, or according to clinical practice.
