Wiener Gusto Organic Plain Wheat Flour Type 700

The organic plain wheat flour/Type 700 is a light wheat flour and is particularly suitable as a baking flour. Classic small pastries, such as rolls, bread sticks, croissants and plaits, are excellent with this flour. This flour is also well suited for pastries, such as yeast dough, sponge cake dough, biscuits and strudels.

About the producer:

The forestry and agricultural business of the City of Vienna owns one of the largest organic farms in Austria. On an area of around 2,200 hectares, cereals, potatoes and much more are produced. In the Laxenburg and Lobau sub-operations, crops are produced in accordance with the guidelines of organic farming. Animal husbandry is also the main focus of organic production and places the greatest value on animal welfare and generous space in the keeping of organic pigs and organic suckler cows. The refinement of the high-quality venison, which comes 100% from the forests of the City of Vienna, requires seamless cooperation between hunting and meat manufacturing. This is how Wiener Gusto creates a variety of top products from deer, stag and wild boar.

The City of Vienna won the EU Organic Award as the "Best Organic City" with its brand "Wiener Gusto", which offers organic products such as organic wheat flour, organic mountain lentils, organic potatoes, organic linseed oil, various organic flours and game meat specialities. In the future, organic fruit juices, organic sunflower oil, organic tofu as well as meat products from organic free-range pigs and organic cattle are also planned. Climate Councillor Jürgen Czernohorszky accepted the prize in Brussels, and Mayor Michael Ludwig was proud of the award.
