Angostura 1919 Premium Gold Rum Deluxe Aged Blend
ANGOSTURA® 1919 comes 100% from the island of Trinidad: the sugar cane is harvested on the island and the production including bottling takes place there. The rum matures for at least eight years in bourbon barrels.
It owes its name to a tragic event in the early 1930s, when a fire destroyed most of the rum barrels in the Government Rum Bonds. Some barrels survived the fire and they contained rum from the 1919 barrel filling. ANGOSTURA® 1919 is a tribute to this time.
Tasting notes
Visual impression: Amber tone with excellent clarity.
Smell: A very rich, complex bouquet with aromas of cocoa, vanilla and coconut.
Taste: Remarkably round and dry. Medium-bodied palate with a hint of roasted nuts, creamy vanilla, brown spices and tropical nuances. A long and mild taste in the finish.
