Blanc de Noir is much more common in sparkling wine than in still wine. We love this zestful freshness that red grape varieties such as St Laurent or Zweigelt bring with them. No kitschy fruit soda, but fine elegant Pet Nat.

Claus Preisinger: Pioneer of the Austrian natural wine scene

Claus Preisinger is an essential part of the Austrian natural wine scene and has made a significant contribution to its rise over the past fifteen years. Already in viticultural school, he found like-minded companions such as Michi Gindl and Johannes Zillinger. His wines shape an entire generation of wine drinkers

and winemakers. His Puszta Libre in particular stands for a revolution in the wine world, by taking away the elitist image of wine.

Milestones and philosophy:

• Wine production: Claus Preisinger has been producing wines since 2000. He has been a member of the Pannobile winemakers since 2004 and has been working biodynamically since 2006.

• Biodynamic practices: His work is based on greening, humus build-up with compost from cow and horse manure, and homeopathic plant care.

• Vineyards: Preisinger owns vineyards on both sides of Lake Neusiedl, in the Leithagebirge and in Gols. His meticulous vineyard work and the use of amphorae and containers have shaped his world-renowned style

Preisinger's wines are charming and approachable, and he manages to convey the joy of drinking even with more complex wines. His style is playful, stringent and follows a common thread. The Claus Preisinger winery is a member of the biodynamic association "Respekt."
