Diarrhoea on holiday is unpleasant, but not dangerous. Or is it? The most common causes of travel diarrhoea are ETEC, Salmonella, Shigella and Campylobacter. Don't let it spoil your holiday and don't give diarrhoea a chance. This can be caused by a change of climate, unfamiliar food, the stress of long car journeys or germs that are ingested with food or drink. It has been known for quite some time that it is certain foreign germs that can cause trouble when travelling. These include primarily the so-called ETEC bacteria, such as Escherichia coli, which burden the intestine with their toxins and are responsible for about 60% of the discomfort. Salmonella typhimurium, the Campylobacter germ and Shigella flexeri are rarer but even more undesirable. This is because these germs cannot simply trigger diarrhoea, but are so-called aggressive enteritis pathogens. They can migrate into the intestinal wall and thus accompany us throughout our lives without us really noticing. The recurring diarrhoea is then dismissed as intolerances, irritable bowel syndrome or "something bad eaten". But the truth is that these germs can not only make you spend a lot of time on the toilet instead of the beach during your holiday, but also leave you feeling highly impaired for weeks and years afterwards. These germs have a particularly bad effect on children and senior citizens.

Application

It is best to start taking 1 sachet of OMNi-BiOTiC®REISE daily in the morning before breakfast a few days before the trip. Simply stir the powder into water, milk, tea or yoghurt, wait for 10 minutes activation time, stir again and then drink. Continue this procedure throughout the journey. If you want to support your digestion additionally, continue the daily food supplementation with OMNi-BiOTiC®REISE even during the first days at home. After all, the transition from holiday to a stressful working day is also quite a strain on the intestines, so they could do with a few billion helpers to do their work. The lactic acid bacteria in OMNi-BiOTiC®REISE can quickly displace and render harmless nasty germs. The more intact your intestinal mucosal barrier is due to the supply of various active intestinal symbionts, the lower the chance that dangerous germs can colonise and multiply in the intestine.

Note

Additional tips for a carefree holiday: no ice cubes, no tap water, no raw salads and no fruit that cannot be peeled. According to the motto: "COOK IT - PEEL IT - OR LEAVE IT!" (Cook your food - peel it - or leave it!) Small country-bacteria-lesson: Egypt: The classic - up to 92% of visitors without probiotic intestinal protection come back from their Nile cruise with diarrhoea. Turkey: Even the most beautiful hotel does not protect against salmonella. The hands of the staff are decisive! Follow your own hygiene rules: wash your hands thoroughly and often. Far East: Listen for the "pop" when opening a water bottle. If you don't hear that, an old bottle has been filled with tap water! (Attention also with ice cubes!) Mediterranean countries and often also Eastern Europe: Never drink water from the tap! Caribbean: Only eat what is well cooked, still hot and completely "done" - no meat or fish raw! Italy: Campylobacter species are already lurking in the upper Italian lakes, keep your mouth closed when swimming! Central and South America: Watch out for tap water! Not even suitable for brushing teeth.
