85% Merlot, 15 % Cabernet-Sauvingon - 14,5% Vol. Alk.
Origin
The "Domaine des Granges", a vast estate that once covered five communes in the Southern Médoc, belonged in the 12th century to the Cistercian monks of the Abbey of Vertheuil. Domaines Baron Edmond de Rothschild bought parts of this vast estate between 1973 and 1979 in the form of three properties, which had been separated as a result of divisions. This wine is produced from the three terroirs in the communes of Moulis and Listrac. The blend is dominated by Merlot and complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon.
Tasting notes:
The Haut-Médoc "Les Granges" has a beautiful, dark garnet color. The nose develops aromas of fresh red fruits as well as fine notes of oak and vanilla. The palate is very elegant due to the soft tannins and mild acidity. The finish is long, intense and makes you want to take another sip.
