Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 210 g butter
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 150 g ground hazelnuts
- 1 pc egg
- 1 pc vanilla sugar
Method
- 1Place flour, cold butter in small pieces, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, and ground nuts in a bowl.
- 2Quickly knead everything with your hands to form a smooth dough.
- 3Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- 4After the resting period, remove the dough from the refrigerator.
- 5Break off small pieces of dough and shape them into finger-length rolls.
- 6Slightly bend the rolls to give them the typical crescent shape of Kipferl.
- 7Place the Vanillekipferl on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 8Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) or 160°C (convection) for about 10-12 minutes, until lightly golden brown.
- 9Let cool and dust with powdered sugar.
