For 20 years, William Grant had the dream of making the "best whiskey in the valley". With the help of his family, he finally made his dream come true. In the summer of 1886, William, along with his seven sons and two daughters, began to fulfill his lifelong dream. Together they began building a distillery, stone by stone. After a year of hard work, it was finally finished and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for "Valley of the Deer". William's passion, determination and pioneering spirit have shaped Glenfiddich to this day.

The world's most awarded single malt Scotch whiskey is still produced today in the distillery, which is still family-owned and has preserved the innovative character of its founder through five generations.

Fresh, harmonious & smooth
The 12-year maturation in the finest American bourbon and Spanish sherry oak barrels gives it its unique, mild taste, a hint of smoke and a gentle oak note.

Tasting note:
Nose: light, fresh, sweet, fruity, pear, oak
Taste: dry, pear-like, balanced with a light peat and pine note
Finish: aromatic, smooth
