Trauma Ointment Cooling Mayrhofer is suitable for the local treatment of pain in acute injuries of the active musculoskeletal system. Rapid pain relief and muscle relaxation is achieved with simultaneous cooling. Methyl salicylate has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. Menthol has a cooling effect and is slightly anaesthetic. Methyl salicylate, menthol and camphor have circulation-enhancing properties, which makes the ointment easier for the skin to absorb. In the case of injuries and inflammations, increased blood circulation causes the discomfort to subside more quickly.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 5 days, consult your doctor.

Trauma ointment cooling Mayrhofer is suitable for the local treatment of pain in acute injuries of the active musculoskeletal system. Trauma Ointment Cooling Mayrhofermust not be used,

.

• If you are allergic to methyl salicylate, menthol, camphor or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.
.

• for infants and young children under 2 years of age (risk of laryngospasm).
• in patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases associated with marked hypersensitivity of the airways. Inhalation of Trauma Ointment cooling Mayrhofer may cause shortness of breath or trigger an asthma attack.
• as a large-area long-term treatment in patients with a tendency to bleeding, stomach and intestinal ulcers, severe liver or kidney damage
.
• in severe liver or kidney insufficiency.
• on open or damaged skin areas and mucous membranes as well as in skin diseases.

Warnings and precautions.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you use Apply Trauma Ointment Cooling Mayrhofer.

• For external use only. Do not ingest.
• Apply only to intact skin, do not get on mucous membranes, open wounds or in the eyes. Caution in patients with asthma and in case of intolerance of painkilling medicines.
• Be careful with children suffering from flu, chicken pox or fever. Ask your doctor before use.

If the complaints persist or if the expected success does not occur after 5 days, you must consult a doctor in any case.
Children and adolescents
Use in children aged 2-6 years is not recommended due to insufficient data.
Application of Trauma Ointment Cooling Mayrhofer together with others Medicines
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or intend to take/use any other medicines.

In case of prolonged and extensive application of ointments containing salicylate, interactions with the following substances are possible:

• Medicines that influence blood clotting, from the dicumarol series and heparin (increased risk of bleeding).
• Methotrexate, which is used as a chemotherapeutic agent and to treat certain forms of arthritis.
• Blood sugar reducers (too strong reduction of the blood sugar level).
• certain medicines for gout.
• Certain drainage (diuretics) and rheumatism medicines.
• When cortisone-containing medicines are taken at the same time, the gastric mucosal damaging effect may be intensified.
• When oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs, non-cortisone painkilling medicines) are used at the same time, their side-effects may be increased.

Due to the menthol content, the absorption of other locally applied medicinal products through the skin may be increased.
Application of Trauma Ointment Cooling Mayrhofer together with food, Drinks and alcohol.
If alcohol is taken at the same time, the damaging effect on the mucous membrane of the stomach may be increased.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.

In pregnant women and nursing mothers, treatment should only be carried out over a short period of time and never over a large area.

There are no sufficient data on the use of Trauma Ointment Cooling Mayrhofer in women of childbearing age.
Driving ability and ability to operate machinery.
No special precautions are necessary.

Trauma Ointment Cooling Mayrhofer contains cetylstearyl alcohol and wool wax. (Lanalcolum).
Cetylstearyl alcohol and wool wax may cause local skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis).

How should the medicine be taken?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

For use on the skin.

• Apply the ointment several times a day as a thin film on the intact skin and massage in.
• Wash your hands well after rubbing in the ointment.
• Apply only to intact skin, do not apply to mucous membranes, open wounds or in the eyes
.
• A large-area application is to be avoided.

Application in children and adolescents.
Trauma Ointment Cooling Mayrhofer must not be used on babies and children under 2 years of age. Use in children aged 2-6 years is not recommended.

In elderly patients, no specific dose adjustment of Trauma Ointment Cooling Mayrhofer considered necessary on the basis of age alone.
If you use a large amount of Trauma Ointment Cooling Mayrhofer. have applied than you should
If you Trauma Ointment Cooling Mayrhofer too thick, inform your doctor or pharmacist. As a countermeasure, washing off the ointment with water is recommended.

In case of accidental ingestion of Trauma Ointment Cooling Mayrhofer, it is important to immediately notify a doctor who can administer the necessary treatment. Do not try to induce vomiting.

Burns for 6 months and 3 months after the tube or jar is first opened.

Do not dispose of medicines in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. They thus contribute to the protection of the environment.
