What should you bear in mind before taking Bronchipret Thyme Ivy ?

Bronchipret Thyme Ivy MUST NOT be taken
if you are allergic to it.allergic to ivy, thyme, other lamiaceae or araliaceae, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6. or any of the other ingredients of this medicinal product.

Warnings and precautions

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Bronchipret Thyme Ivy.
If symptoms persist for more than a week or if shortness of breath, fever or purulent sputum occurs, a doctor should be consulted immediately.
Caution is advised in patients with gastritis or stomach ulcers.

Children
Bronchipret Thyme Ivy should not be used in children under 6 years of age. There are no adequate studies on the use in children under 6 years of age.

Take Bronchipret Thyme Ivy with other medicines
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or do not intend to take/use any other medicines.
No interactions with other medicines are known so far. No studies have been conducted to detect interactions.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Since insufficient data are available, use during pregnancy and breast-feeding is not recommended.

Trafficability and ability to operate machinery

No studies have been conducted on the effects on trafficability and ability to operate machinery.

Bronchipret Thyme Ivy contains approx. 24 vol.% ethanol (alcohol),
i.e. up to 0.49 g alcohol per 2.6 ml, corresponding to 12 ml beer or 5 ml wine per dose. There is a health risk for patients suffering from alcoholism. The alcohol content must be taken into account in children and patients at increased risk due to liver disease or epilepsy.

Note for diabetics:
A single dose of Bronchipret Thyme Ivy does not contain any relevant
creditable bread units (BE).

How should the medicine be taken?

How to take Bronchipret Thyme Ivy?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:

Adolescents 12 years and older

There are insufficient data to make a specific dosage recommendation for patients with impaired renal/liver function.

How to use
To take
Dose with the enclosed measuring cup and take Bronchipret Thyme Ivy 3 times a day (in the morning, at noon and in the evening) with some liquid (e.g. a glass of water) if necessary.

Shake well before each use!

Duration of use

If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.

Use in children
Use in children under 6 years of age is not recommended due to lack of data.

If you have taken a larger amount of Bronchipret Thyme Ivy
than you should
In case of overdose, stomach complaints, vomiting and diarrhoea are possible. In this case, please notify a doctor. The latter can decide on any measures that may be necessary.

If you forget to take Bronchipret Thyme Ivy
Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.
If you stop taking Bronchipret Thyme Ivy
Stopping Bronchipret Thyme Ivy is usually safe.

No special storage conditions are required for the unopened medicinal product. Do not store above 25° C after first opening.

Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
You must not use the medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label and outer carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.

Burns for 6 months after opening.
There are no special requirements for the disposal of the medicinal product.

- The active ingredients are:
1 ml (equivalent to 1 g) contains:

0.5 ml fluid extract of thyme (Thymi herba) (drug extract ratio DEV 1:2 - 2.5),
Extractant: ammonia solution 10% (m/m) : Glycerol 85% (m/m) : Ethanol 90% (V/V) : Water (1:20:70:109)
0.03 ml fluid extract of ivy leaves (Hederae folium) (DEV 1:1),Extractant: Ethanol 70% (V/V).

- The other ingredients are:
Concentrated ammonia solution, citric acid monohydrate, ethanol 96% (V/V), purified water, glycerol 85%, hydroxypropylbetadex, saccharin sodium.
Contains approx. 24 vol.% alcohol.

Bronchipret Thyme Ivy is a brownish clear liquid (oral solution) in amber glass bottles with a pouring ring (LDPE) and a cap (PP) with a tamper-evident closure (HDPE).
Measuring beaker (PP) with graduation enclosed.
Slight turbidity or flocculation may occur during storage, it does not affect the quality of the preparation.
