Caffeine counteracts signs of fatigue and promotes mental and physical performance. The effect starts about 15 minutes after ingestion and lasts for about 5 - 6 hours.

Coffekapton must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to caffeine or any of the other ingredients.
Caffeine tablets are not suitable for children.

Particular caution is required when taking Coffekapton Tablets if you suffer from cardiac arrhythmia, as higher doses of caffeine may increase the rhythm disturbances. Caution is also advised in the case of stomach or duodenal ulcers, as caffeine increases the formation of gastric acid, which may increase the symptoms.
If you are taking Coffekapton with other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even if you are not sure.

Caffeine weakens the drowsiness-inducing effect of certain medicines, such as antihistamines (for motion sickness and itching) and sedatives or sleeping pills.
Caffeine increases the effect of medicines that accelerate the heartbeat (sympathomimetics, thyroxine, etc.). The effect of theophylline (in asthma medicines) is prolonged by caffeine.
In the case of substances with a broad spectrum of action, the interactions may vary in individual cases and cannot be predicted (e.g. benzodiazepines in tranquillisers and sleeping pills).
Take-home contraceptives, cimetidine (in stomach ulcer remedies) and disulfiram (against alcoholism) prolong the effect of caffeine, The simultaneous use of gyrase inhibitors of the quinolone carboxylic acid type (in various antibiotics) may prolong the effect of caffeine.

The efficacy of painkillers (e.g. acetylsalicylic acid, paracetamol) is increased by simultaneous use of caffeine and the time until the effect is felt is shortened.

When taking Coffekapton tablets together with food anddrinks
The effect of Coffekapton is increased by drinking drinks containing caffeine at the same time. To avoid an overdose, please note that various foods and stimulants also contain caffeine (e.g. the caffeine content of 1 cup of coffee or 2 cups of tea corresponds approximately to the caffeine content of 1 tablet). Caffeine tablets should preferably not be taken in conjunction with foods and stimulants containing caffeine.

When alcohol is consumed at the same time, there is a risk of accelerated absorption of alcohol. Smoking shortens the effect of caffeine.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
The same caveats apply as for drinks containing caffeine (1 tablet corresponds approximately to the caffeine content of 1 cup of coffee or 2 cups of tea). Since caffeine passes into breast milk, the mother taking higher doses can cause restlessness and sleep disturbances in the breastfed infant. It should be noted that the duration of action of caffeine is greatly prolonged in newborns during the first two months of life. Caffeine passes through the placenta.

Driving and operating machinery:

When used properly, caffeine does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
