For more than 100 years, the milk for the chocolate has come exclusively from the Alpine region. For every liter of milk received from suppliers, it is ensured that it comes 100 percent from the valleys and high valleys of the Alps, as well as from the Alpine foothills.
Milka chocolate is made with sustainably grown cocoa: Cocoa Life is Mondelēz International's global cocoa sustainability program. It is a key concern for Mondelēz that cocoa, as one of the most important ingredients, is produced well and sustainably. Therefore, Cocoa Life was introduced in 2012, and by 2030, a total of 1 billion US dollars will be invested in expanding the program to secure the sourcing of more sustainable cocoa and to develop an integrated approach that strives to combat the root causes of systemic problems in the cocoa sector.
