About Milka
The name Milka is composed of the most important ingredients of our chocolate: milk and cocoa. However, Milka Alpine milk chocolate only becomes unmistakable through its particularly tender melt. So that Milka – piece by piece – melts deliciously on the tongue and always tastes equally good, only high-quality ingredients are used.
For more than 100 years, the milk for the chocolate has come exclusively from the Alpine region. With every litre of milk received from suppliers, it is ensured that it comes 100 percent from the valleys and high valleys of the Alps as well as from the Alpine foothills.
Milka chocolate is made with sustainably grown cocoa: Cocoa Life is Mondelēz International's global cocoa sustainability program. It is a primary concern for Mondelēz that cocoa, as one of the most important ingredients, is produced well and sustainably. Therefore, Cocoa Life was introduced in 2012, and by 2030, a total of 1 billion US dollars will be invested in expanding the program to secure the sourcing of more sustainable cocoa and to develop an integrated approach that strives to combat the root causes of systemic problems in the cocoa sector.
