Hummus is a delicious paste made from chickpeas. Especially in the Arab and Turkish regions, it is hard to imagine kitchens without this classic. And hummus has also long since conquered our hearts.

The basis for hummus is chickpeas. Soak the dried chickpeas (preferably overnight)
. and then boiled in fresh water for about 1 hour until soft. Mix the chickpeas with garlic, olive oil
. and lemon juice.

Another very important ingredient is tahini. It is a paste made from
roasted and ground sesame seeds. Tahini contributes significantly to the characteristic nutty taste.
