It was love that led Erwin Klein to find the right recipe. This is how the first Almdudler was created, bottled on October 17, 1957, in Vienna's 17th district – as a wedding gift from Erwin to his wife Ingrid. For over 55 years, the Almdudler-shaped bottle has been as original as its content. Its shape is unmistakable. Marianne and Jakob, the likeable traditional costume couple – refreshed again and again over time – who still adorn the bottle today, became the trademark.
The Klein family has always shaped and molded the brand. After Erwin Klein's early death, the company was taken over by his then 20-year-old son Thomas, who is still one of the owners today, and the brand was given new splendor. We are particularly proud that Almdudler is still 100 percent family-owned.
