Fenivir should only be used on cold sores on the lips and around the mouth.

Use of Fenivir with other medicines

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age
Apply as soon as possible after the first symptoms appear (e.g. tingling, itching). Some people do not notice these symptoms. However, Fenivir cream can also be used when the first swelling/blisters have appeared.



1. Please wash your hands before and after applying the cream.
2. Squeeze a small amount of cream onto your fingertip.
3. Apply the cream every 2 hours during the day for 4 days.


If you are treating around mealtimes, you should apply the cream after eating.

Use in children
Fenivir cream must not be used in children under 12 years of age.
