To produce it, the aromatic cones of the stone pine tree are crushed and macerated in house brandy, which gives the stone pine schnapps not only its characteristic reddish colour, but also its unmistakable spicy-resinous taste.
Stone pine schnapps has a long tradition in Austria, because hardly any other schnapps can capture the woody-forest aroma of the deep green mountain forests so aptly. Already after one sip, the flair of the Alps unfolds on the tongue.
