About Quartiermeister

Since 2010, Quartiermeister has been committed as a social enterprise to a fair economy for the benefit of all. As the first beer brand with a common good balance sheet, we return our profits to society by promoting social projects and social commitment with every beer.

What unites these projects is that they are committed to a diverse and supportive neighborhood, bringing people together and enabling social participation. We do not decide who receives the funding, but rather all people together through an open online vote.

Since 2021, Quartiermeister has been in responsible ownership through the establishment of its own foundation. The brand can no longer be sold and belongs to its social purpose forever.

Our Beers

Quartiermeister is brewed by the private brewery Gut Forsting near Munich. The foundation stone of the brewery was laid in 1871.
In 1916 it was founded in its present form as a cooperative brewery. In 2003 the brewery was modernized, which significantly reduced energy consumption.

At that time, we made a conscious decision to work with an independent brewery. In this way, we want to strengthen the traditional medium-sized beer industry, which is exposed to pressure from individual large corporations.
